This beer, produced in the classic English Barley Wine style, has a dark copper color. Aromas of red fruit in alcohol, cocoa, caramel and a subtle roasted vein. In the mouth it is warm and enveloping, soft and refined but at the same time balanced with a fairly dry finish.

Trübes rötlich braunes Bier mit wenig Schaum. Geruch holzig, reife Früchte, Beeren. Geschmack sehr malzig, alkoholisch, reife Früchte.

500 ml. bottle sampled @ “Brazilian Tasting”. Thank you sebletitje! Malalingua & Malanima (wine BA – 356/401) versions sampled side-by-side. Gorgeous thin wine style bottles. Dark red amber, little taaned head. Nose is oxidized varnish, spirit, sweet spices, red fruit jam, big white sugar sweetness, messy, tad flawed,… Taste is very basic white sugar sweet & red fruit jam, candy sugar sweet, basic, very simple with light less pleasant varnish note, dull basic slab of sugar,… Pretty much flat, okay but nothing exciting or necessary.

Bouteille 50cl de Beer for Bunnies, Bologna. Couleur cuivrée, acajou trouble, col fin beige. Arôme offre un bouquet complexe de fruité fermentés entre abricot, fruits rouges, raisins et prune, note de baies, et sucre résiduel. Palais est malté, caramel, sucre candy, effervescence moyenne avec un sucre résiduel persistant. Petite touche oxydée avec une approche penchant plus sur un style US. Fleuri des houblon, avec un fini réchauffant des 12% Le tout étant légèrement collant aux lèvres. Cetainemetn meilleur que le score l’indique.

Slightly hazy red to amber brown beer, very small beige head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: sweet, lots of caramel, vanilla, dried fruits, raisins. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet start, lots of caramel, dried fruits, hoppy touch, alcohol, bit sourish, somewhat lemony. Aftertaste: hoppy bitterness, alcohol, dried fruits, raisins, bit oxidized, spicy touch, some cloves.

Bottle @ joes shared by either joes or judyvv. Hazy dark amber with a small off-white head. Smells strawberry, syruppy, sweet. Tastes ’speedy’s’ (popsicle), very sweet, syruppy, sugar. Medium to full body, soft carbo. A bit too sweet after the first sips.

50 cl bottle. Pours hazy brown with a small brown head. Aroma is roasted malty, caramelish and light fruity. Sweet malty, overripe fruity, prunes, plums and figs. Dark caramelish. Roasted and breadish, fruity dense dark finish.
