Poured from a 16 oz can dated November 2, 2021. Aroma is super hop forward with lots of gooseberry, passion fruit, grapefruit and lighter dank, resin and pine notes. Light cracker malt notes and hints of alcohol. Pours a fairly clear, golden orange with a large, thick, pillowy, white head that recedes slowly to a small film that lingers on the edges and in the center of the glass. Moderately high lacing and small legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with medium light cracker malt notes. Fairly strong bitterness and light alcohol notes. Moderately strong, dank, resin and pine notes with some moderate grapefruit notes and lighter notes of gooseberry and passion fruit. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a really solid IPA. The hop aroma is definitely dominated by Nelson while the other hops are more prominent in the flavor. Balanced malt and bitterness with light alcohol notes.
