Full Contact is a barleywine with rich malty aroma with notes of caramel, molasses and dried fruits enriched with noble notes of red port wine barrel aging. Intense in flavor, rich, but not overly sweet, warming and full of character.

330 ml bottle in cardboard box, as Kingpin Full Contact American Barleywine Port Wine Barrel Aged, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 10.5%. Hazy brown colour, small and thin off-white head. Aroma of molasses, port wine, raisins and oak. Medium sweet and fruity flavour with the same elements as the aroma, while some bittering hops join the distinct oak in a drier finish.

Almost clear deep amber beer, small pale tan head. Smooth and semi dry palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Malts are relatively light and bring some bitterish toffee. Little caramel in there. The port barrel brings good berries and must but isn't enough to override the intrinsic bitterness in this barleywine. Modest but bitter orange peel. Light finish. Nice but bitter and a little thin.
