20th January 2022. Part of a four beer flight in Ale Tales, San Diego. Deep golden body, white topping. Hoppy little number with both citrussy and piney esters and flavours vying for position within the pretty bitter brew.

Poured from a 16 oz can dated September 22, 2020. Aroma is hop forward with lots of citrus notes of orange, tangerine, grapefruit and hints of stone fruit. Light dank, resin notes. Light cracker malt notes, hints of caramel and light alcohol notes. Pours a rather clear, brilliant, golden color with a large, thick, pillowy white head that recedes to a small film that lingers in clumps on the edges. Medium light lacing and small legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with light cracker malt and hints of caramel. Moderately high bitterness and light alcohol notes. Moderate hop notes of orange, grapefruit and dank, pine resin. Lighter tropical citrus notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a pretty solid West Coast DIPA. Lots of citrus hop notes with a good balance of bitterness and malt character. Alcohol is fairly well hidden too.
