Cask @ The Richard Oastler, Brighouse. Hazy amber-brown with a creamy head. Deeper tasting malty brew with a robustness to it.

Cask up the White Lady. Pours clear chestnut with a decent beige head. Aromas of toffee, light nuts and candied peel. Taste is more of the same. Light spice on the sweet finish.

Cask at the White Swan, Solihull. Poured a clear chestnut brown colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is toffee caramel malt. The flavour is moderate sweet, with a somewhat light, smooth, slightly watery, burnt treacle, light floral, light pepper spice palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation.

[Cask at the Claude du Vall (JDW), Camberley.] A chestnut coloured pour with a thin beige head; floral aroma; sweet citrusy taste with a little spice; and a dry floral finish with a chocolate aftertaste.

Cask (gravity pour) at Standing Order, Derby. Pours mahogany with minimal off-white head. There’s spices and roast malts in the aroma. In the mouth it is slightly sweet and somewhat watery. Flavour has floral hops, spices and chocolate with hints of coffee grounds and nuts. Finish is quite spicy. This is a decent strong ale.

Hand-pulled pint in my local Wetherspoons on 13th October 2023. Looked fine, deep chestnut/mahogany body, off white crown. Sadly it tasted a little too earthy and spicy for my palate, all a bit 'green', it needed another month in the barrel to sort it's self out.
