As if it’s poured fresh from the tank at the brewery. Just like traditional German Kellerbiers, this lager is unfiltered. Brewed with torrified wheat, Callista hops and dry hopped with Spalt Select, it’s left hazy, hoppy, full bodied and fuss free.

Can from Home Bargains. Misted gold with small white top. That cellared lager aroma is evident with a floral resin and citrus hop note. Taste is the same, a nice fruitiness and a floral hop contrasts against the malt. Semi drying, light to medium bodied. A good example of the style.

330ml can: BB 28th July 2023. Drank at home on 27th June 2023. Hazy golden body, short lived white head. Slightly more hoppy than malty but not bitter or citrusy. Bit Meh to be honest.

Can from Waitrose, West Byfleet. Aroma is sweet - honey, yeast, sourdough. Hazy-opaque gold. Thick bubbly foamy white head. Medium bitter. Grainy. Citrus. Herbs. A metallic edge. Lowkey honey snd bread in the mix. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry finish. Enjoyable enough. Less sweet than the aroma made me think it would be.

Can from Cooperative Supermarket, Hebden Bridge. Light golden with a smallish head. Mildly sweet although mostly flavourless lager style with an underlying breaded-hoppy character, but a modicum of fruit too.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from Waitrose Stratford. Pours clear yellow with a billowing, frothy white head. Crispy, lightly sweet, dry pale grains, a little cereal, slight bitter grass and straw. Light bodied with active carbonation. Clean, dry finish, more crispy pale grains, dry biscuits. Sound.

10/1/2022. Can sample courtesy of SHIG, cheers. Pours almost clear pale golden with a small frothy white head. Aroma of grain, lemon, herb, grass. Medium sweetness, light bitterness. Moderate body, oily watery texture, spritzy carbonation. Some citrusy bitters to finish. Not bad.

Can at home, from Waitrose online, 14/12/21. Light haze on a golden yellow pour with a good sized white cap that stays for the show ... looks the bizz. Nose is pale malts, lemon rind, light herb, grass, straw, toasted grains. Taste comprises crisp pale malts, light breads, hedgerow, herb, grass, toasted grains, lemon tinged straw, cereals. Medium bodied, fine to lightly prickly carbonation, semi drying close. Bang tidy logger-bier.
