A Strange classic. Chocolaty, malty, caffeinated goodness with a kick. Colombian coffee and cacao nibs bring the crack to your dawn: the beer version of the milky, sweet mocha drink you have every morning at your neighborhood hipster coffee shop. Man bun-free. Contains lactose.

Can from Beer52. Pours black with brief tanned head, somewhat of a cola fizz going on. Aroma of big coffee notes, some chocolate and moderate sweetness, light earthy hops; promising. Taste of chocolate, touch of caramel, coffee, bittersweet and creamy finish with lactose noticeable as well as a mild pine noted hop. Medium body, part way between smooth and chewy, part-cola like fizz which is distracting for the style. Tasty but somewhat flawed which is a shame as there is the makings of a great beer here.

On tap at Strange Brewing, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out light oats, lactose, and a touch of cocoa. Flavour is lightly sweet, with lactose, cocoa, and light oats. Light-bodied but correctly brewed. Solid.

A very dark reddish brown beer with a small beige head. Aroma of roasted dark malt, coffee, liquorice, oat. Taste of sweet dark chocolate malt, coffee, vanilla and oat.

15th March 2023, mini-regional tasting with minutemat at my place. 330ml can via Beer52 and obviously brewed by Fierce in Aberdeen (it says so on the can) but happy to add it to my Buenos Aires City ratings. Dark Cola colour, beige head. Mild coffee and chocolate nose and taste, all a bit 'strange' really!

330ml can shared with blackhaddock in his beer cave. Pours dark with pale beige head. Aroma of soy, cola and coffee. Taste brings a dark soy like stout character I've tasted in other Argentinian stouts, tight bitterness. It's flavoursome, but just not enough coffee, cacao or lactose coming through.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A flat looking, opaque cola brown pour with a ring of beige head; fresh coffee aroma; thin in the mouth with a coffee taste, then some milky dark chocolate; before a rather astringent bitter coffee finish. Not the best coffee stout I've tried, but interesting.

Short lived light brown head on a dark brown coloured body. Malt, roasted & coffee aroma. Medium bodied, smooth with a tingle on the back. Cocoa, malt, lactose, berries & herbal tastes. Lacking in body but quite tasty.
