Cask @ Armoury, Shrewsbury. Pours a clear deep mahogany brown, off-white head that recedes. Malty caramel nose, continues to taste, mild hop notes, initial flavours subside somewhat.. hoppiness could be more forthcoming..Ok cask American brown ale overall

RERATE : Cask at Moon under Water, Wolverhampton. Pours dark ruby with a small cream head. There’s malts and figs in the aroma. In the mouth it is sweet and juicy with a creamy texture with dark fruits and caramel to the fore. Later on there are hints of lemon, pine and raisins leading to a slightly dry finish. This is decent. ORIGINAL RATING Cask at Hogshead, Wolverhampton. Pours golden brown with a small cream head. The aroma has malts, grains and hints of figs. In the mouth it is sweet, but with slightly bitter undertones. Flavour starts off with nuts and golden syrup whilst later dates, raisins and hints of ginger come through. Finish is slightly dry. This is a decent brown ale. (3.5)
