Bottle from a Beer 52 box. Sampled August 2020. Pours unclear dark brown with tan foam. Light tart berry aroma. Some chocolate, caramel in the taste, also some berries. Light body with soft carbonation. Disappointing.

Bottle from Beer 52. Not much of an aroma just some berry sharpness. Pours a murky dark brown with a small coffee cream head. Berries again to the forein the mouth, but eventually chocolate and a caramel base start to come through. Berries yet again in the finish. It’s OK but could do with more porter characteristics !

Bottle from Beer52 which I'd saved for Christmas as it had cranberries in it! Murky dark brown with a thin beige head. Slightly powdery mouthfeel. Chocolate and walnuts with a little tanginess in the background. A few berry notes and a slight dryness before a short, mildly bitter finish. It's ok, but I'd hoped for better.

[33cl bottle from Beer52.] A deep blackcurrant purple pour with a rim of white head; aroma of berries and chocolate; smooth chocolately body with some sweet fruit, lacking the sharpness of cranberry; and a long cocoa powder finish. A pleasant fruity porter.
