Jump bail and head for the Tropics with this sticky sweet Porter. Black as a fugitive's heart with sweet coconut on the nose. Toasted coconut and dark chocolate meld and duke it out with roasted nutty undertones. A taste of paradise smoothly delivered.

Can at home in Hackney - sourced from Fanzine. Pours clear deep brown with a fading, foamy tan head. Really tasty, really drinkable, nice rounded chocolate character, soft ashy bitterness, some oily coconut, nips of earth. Light to medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. Finishes with further creamy coconut, milk chocolate, light roast, burnt toffee. Goes down very easily.

18 March 2019. At BrewDog Cowgate, Edinburgh. Shared with the lovely Anke! Pours hazy black with a lasting, very thin, frothy, beige head. Aroma of Bounty, of course, milk chocolate, praliné, hazelnut, vanilla custard, burnt caramel, raisin, blackcurrant, brioche. Taste is medium malty sweet, chocolate & coconut mixing well into a Bounty, some caramel, hazelnut & peanut added to that, faintly fruity too (raisin, fig); sourish blackcurrant & brambleberry provide balance, as well as a light roasted bitterness, restrained though with mocha & herbal touch of black tea. Dryish, toasty finish, a bit herbal hoppy, lingering coconut & chocolate. Medium body, slick-oily texture, lively carbonation. Expected a bit more body & taste but the Bounty character is firmly in place.
