Whisky Barrel Aged Heavily Peated Imperial Stout (Laphroaig).
Now first of all, don’t get things mixed up: Black Donald was here way before that other Donald. And Black Donald is not involved in race or politics. Black Donald is all about plain evil, because he is himself the Devil – plain and simple. Black Donald takes many shapes. He may come as the well-dressed guest at the poker table – only given away by the cloven-hoofed goat feet he hides underneath. Those feet will always give him away, no matter what disguise he uses. And as a goat is how you’ll most often see him – with a long chain clanking after him. As this shape-shifting goat, Black Donald is known to cause terror all over the North of Scotland, often for no other purpose than to simply frighten people. If for some reason you need the help of the Devil – for instance against your enemies – a so called taghairm can be formed. A sort of spiritual calling involving the spit-roasting of live cats. It’s a long and complicated ceremony, and we honestly cannot recommend it. Also since you will forever be indebted to Black Donald himself.

33cl bottle from Biiru's Christmas Calendar. Pours pitch black with a rather modest, tanned head. Peaty, roasty and lovely notes of Islay whisky; some dark chocolate, hints of alcohol and dark, dried fruits too. Sweet, peaty and warming, nice 2 in 1 beer for lovers of Islay whisky. Wouldn't mind more of this.

330 ml bottle, shared with Holmen1 and Holmen2. ABV is 11%. Black colour, tan head. Strong aroma of dark malts, oak and peated Scotch whisky. The flavour has the same elements as the aroma.

Romjulstreff på Bjørnøy med seremonimesteren og skibsrederen 28.12.20: den siste av tre 0,33 flasker fra Toft Vinhandel mitt nesten helt tomme København-lager. nesten helt svart med fint skum som varer. Herlig preg av fatlagringen, jeg får assosiasjoner til rundturer på skotske distillerier (alt for mange år siden, men rart hvordan noen minner sitter). Eik/vanilje, mørke malter, tydelig men fortsatt behagelig preg av torvrøyk og einer. Dangerously drinkable, a velvet fist.

Bottle. Black body with a thin beige head. Aroma has dark malt, peat and alcohol. Taste is sweet, dark malt, dry fruit and lots of peat with boozy alcohol. Fine body and strong, boozy aftertaste. Unbalanced and boozy.

KØLF 040920. Black color with a brown color . Aroma is whiskey, peat. Flavor is whiskey, peat, molasses, roasted-burned malt. I don`t like the aroma. Boozy beer.

Bottle, 0.33l. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, dust, peat and whiskey. Pours pitch black color with almost no head and sparkling appearance. Taste starts with medium sweet and rich roasted malt, coffee and chocolate, following is earthy, smoky and dried fruity with whiskey note, mouthfeel is smooth and warm, while finish is mild grassy bitter. Full body, thick texture and average carbonation in palate. Peated as hell...

Botella 33 CL de Vivalabirra tomada en belmonte 26..04..2020. Color negro intenso con espuma beige oscuro que desaparece al poco tiempo casi por completo. Sabores intendos maltoso tostados con una maravillosa dosis de quemados torrefactos turbosos y recuerdos dd whisky de Islay. Cuerpo medio a intenso con buena sensación alcohólica desde el principio y bastante sabor. Fina, sedosa y con cierta espuma. Livorosa al final. Bastante buena para repetir sin duda alguna. Notable el sabor whisky de Islay.

33cl Fles van Drinks&Gifts. Oef, heftig bakkie dit. Gitzwart, bruine kraag. Aroma is volle bak whisky, toch ook wat groene appeltjes helaas, turf, hout, leer, pure chocolade. Smaak volgt, dominante turf en whisky-smaken, iets van groene appels maar gelukkig niet heel storend, leer. Volle body.

Smell of smoke, peat. Black colour, brown head. Aroma of smoke, whisky, oak, some dry maltiness in finish. Very Laphroaig-like flavours. Sweet, bitter. Heavy body.
