8-4-8-3-16 Bottle, #040, 2,5 years before bbd. Pours pitch black, with an enormous creamy mocha head receding to finger thickness. Aroma is dark malts with leather, cocoa and bourbon barrels, as well as liquorice, tannins and earthy spices. Smooth, velvety body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is dark roasted malts with muscovado, cocoa, lactose and bourbon barrels, as well as sweet liquorice, dark fruits and earthy spices. Dry, wooden finish.

Etter halvannet år i ørkenen, endelig kan vi hygge oss på ølfestival! På Malt&Humle (Gladmaten -21) sammen med Håkon (alle ølene var 10 cl fra fat): nesten helt svart med ok skum. Dessertchokolader, kaffe, hint av lakris og noe som minner om fiin gammel sherry. Tørr avslutning og alcoburn i magen.

Nydelig. Fyldig men tørr. Tydelig bourbon. Nesten litt portvinsaktig. Men litt for mye brent korn i smaken, mendet er vanskelig å si om de andre smakene hadde tatt overhånd uten den. Men meget deikkverdig.
