Toasted sweet malty with notes of dried fruit, caramel and fudge, full bodied, dried fruit shred, getting some bourbon into the malty finish.

A mild haze on this brown beer, small bubbly tan head. A few bits of something or other sink to the bottom. Smooth palate, pretty light for the style, a very mild dryness and decent fine carbonation. Smooth toffee laden malts, some dark toffee as well, none of it that sweet. A little malt cream. A soft and slightly floral sweetness ensues and goes well with the mild oak barrel induced vanilla. It also rounds off the bourbon nicely. Soft fruity bourbon but fairly rich. A soft and light finish. Really light and smooth and with very well balanced flavours. I think the heather honey is a stroke of genius. Hugely drinkable barleywine

Bottle pour at Farmhouse Fest 2023, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out smoky bourbon barrels, brown sugar, and molasses. Flavour is massive, with big, slightly smoky bourbon barrels, molasses, and brown sugar. Big bourbon barrels and a sugary finish. Excellent.
