Bottle from Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Aroma is strong tonka beans with burnt rubber, ash, tobacco, roast, soft fruity hints, more beans, touch of honey, some vanilla. Flavour is medium sweet with an ashy bitterness. Body is medium, alcohol is well-hidden but this needs more fullness. Curious and unique, but the burnt rubber association prevents me from truly enjoying this.

Bottle. Definitely an interesting style. Pours dark brown, seems rather clear, nice lacing. Aroma is honey, chestnut, nutty. Medium to big body. Tonka bean braggot is definitely the programme with this beer! Deep dark chocolate, malt, lots of chestnut honey, vanilla and Tonka, quite sweet. Definitely weird, but interesting.

Aus der Flasche (bottled 17.10.2018 - bbe 17.10.2019) im 2020-02 getrunken. Dieses schwarze Braggot hat eine deutliche Honignote die mit etwas kämpf was ich erst nach einen Schluck deutlicher einordnen kann - Schuhcreme. Und am Gaumen ist die Schuhcreme so was von deutlich und dominierend das ich kein Schluck mehr von dem Braggot trinken kann. Das ist einfach untrinkbar! Ab in den Ausguß damit.

Small slightly bubbly mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly dry sour-ish roasted, dusty toast, caramelized grain, minerals, alcohol, soil, salty licorice, weeds, sour coffee, bitter chocolate, fruit stones. Taste is strange sour-ish roasted, weeds, dusty toast, salty licorice, fruit stones, roasted grain, sour coffee, soil, bark, alcohol, burnt rye bread, bitter chocolate. Medium to longlasting bitterness, harsh sour-ish roasted mouthfeel. Weirdozilla!

Brown with a creamy beige head. Lovely aroma full of vanilla, tonka beans and dark chocolate. Smells like an indulgent dessert. Tastes honey sweet, full of vanilla, chocolate, tonka. Finishes the same. Sometimes not a fan of overly sweet brews, especially if the additives dominate the underlying beer, but this one is working for me. An underlying roasted bitterness balances the sweetness. The flavors meld nicely. Probably helps that it is dessert time now. Full-bodied, mild carbonation, oily and thick. Delicious.

Deep brown, cloudy, ruby highlights. Small off-white head. Aroma: sweet berries, honey, cacao beans, leathery yeast, unusual. Medium body. Taste: lightly sweet, wax, honey, berry jam, light alcohol. Interesting stuff.

Bottle 33 cl. Dark brown, weak cream foam. Aroma: sweet, sugary, honey, vanilla, wax, tonka beans, caramel, sweet spices, a little cocoa and nail polish. Taste: dark beer, roasted and bitter, hops, honey with honeycombs, spice, vanilla, spiced rum with cocoa, very warming, unbalanced.

Bottle 330ml. @ Liepyno namai, Lietuva.[ As Sakiškių Tonka Bean Braggot ].Clear dark brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, ash, light to moderate honey, tonka, cocoa, some odd sweet chocolate - honey wax and asume the tonka beans. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a average duration, artificial, honey, perfume, roasted - chocolate, burnt, odd, some tonka beans - chocolate - cocoa - vanilla, honey wax. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20181128] 5-3-5-3-9
