From backlog. Dark Lord Night @ Pien. Sweetish and heavy with spices, cinnamon, peppery notes, coffee, cocoa and chocolate. Feels like Perennial Abraxas.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a nice large dark brown foamy head. Aroma of cinnamon is quite overpowering with some molasses and black chocolate notes also perceptible. Taste is a mix of strong cinnamon notes with some very faint peppercorn notes, huge amount of residual sugar with some molasses and black chocolate notes with some discernible bourbon notes. Body is full with syrupy notes and good carbonation with very little alcohol showing. Interesting but cinnamon is overpowering which limits drinkability.

A deep dark stout with a very thin brown head. In aroma, sweet chocolate malt with loads of cinnamon, ginger, pepper, vanilla, alcohol warmth, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet chocolate malt with loads of cinnamon, cinnamon hearts, vanilla, alcohol warmth, molasses, interesting. Bottle at GRMs dark Lord tasting, Oct 2018.

Bottle shared at Kim Jong Un Buurtcentrum, Zaandam. Black with a beige head. Aroma of pepper, cinnamon, vanilla, fudge, chocolate, bourbon and toffee. Flavour is heavy sweet though toned down from straight Dark Lord. Full bodied with soft carbonation. Nice one!

Bottle thanks to Keeling. Pours black with small tan head that lasts. The aroma is strong cinnamon, licorice, peppercorn, roast, cocoa. Slick body, dark chocolate, cinnamon, peppercorn, vanilla, roast, bourbon, nice sweetness, enjoyed this.

Bottle @ tasting shared by Joes. Dark brown to black color, average to decent sized light brown head. Aroma and flavor are both sweet malts, bourbon, vanilla, cinnamon, sugary. Average to medium body and carbonation. Bit too sweet I’d say but solid for sure.
