Inspired by our favourite Scottish dessert we brewed this decadent Scotch Ale with raspberries, toasted oatmeal, honey and cream then aged it for two years in highland whisky barrels.

Bottle. A- Raspberry jam, whisky, malty, raisins. A- Brown color, cloudy liquid, no head. T- Raspberry jam, whisky, honey, malty, toffee, sultanas. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, lingering sweet finish. O- A delightful brew. At 2 or so years old, this was still pretty complex. I thought there might be more of a peaty scotch flavor but it was more of a generic oaky whisky flavor. The raspberry, honey, and cream blended to make a great jammy like flavor. Everything just really came together with this one. Outstanding.

Bottled 18JAN18. Smell is pure raspberry and honey flavoured cereal. Taste is sweet, lots of raspberry, tons of cereal, and a big dollop of honey, before being sprinkled with whisky. Creamy mouthfeel, very interesting flavour. Exactly what they wanted.

Unclear, deep amber to brown colored, medium to small beige head, moderate lasting. Aroma is of raspberries mostly, some soury fruity notes, malt, caramel and toffee, light toast. Taste is very sweet malt, caramel and toffee, some toasted and light chocolate notes, raspberries and plenty of them and then abruptly cut by some fruity moderate- sourness, some vinous notes, raspberry finish, some light alcohol notes. Medium+ bodied, soft carbonation, oily to sticky. Raspberries... not my favorite take on a Scotch ale.
