Brouwer's XVIII is a blend of Big Gin barrel fermented and aged saison. We refermented the blend on organic Balaton cherries from Apple Cart Fruit in the Okanogan Valley. It tastes like limeade with raspberry jolly rancher candy and has that classic cinnamon cherry pie vibe we all love.

750ml bottle pours out pale red pink almost topped with a fizzy head. Nose is nice cherries in the front then some funky tart barrel notes a little oak. Taste is more of the cherry funky tartness and a wonderful barrel presents.

Bottle shared at Craft Beer Junction - Bermondsey. Cheers! Pours mostly clear red with a slight, foamy pink head. Gorgeous cherry character here, a little tartness, nicely juicy berries, a little lemon, vanilla, oak. Light bodied with delicate, massaging carbonation. Incredibly well balanced finish, mild lemony tartness, more bright and juicy cherry. Outstanding.

Bottle thanks to Anthony. Pours a cloudy pink with small off white head that lasts. The aroma is cherry skin, funk, wood. Thin body, sweet cherry, funk, oak, mineral, nice tartness, enjoyed this.

Pink, opaque. Thin head. Bright cherry nose. Light cherry, medium tartness. Mellow gin influence, especially in the finish.

A taster shared with Josh, Matt, Phill, and Ryan during FHF with priceless Rachel's (yup, again!) help in organizing all the mess with glasses. Appearance: purple with a white head. Aroma: amazing fruity character, some funk and bugs. Taste: along the same lines, very smooth. Overall: great!

On tap at Brouwer's Cafe - 18th Anniversary event, pours a cloudy pinkish red with a small beige head. Aroma brings out fresh tart cherries, subtle gin botanicals, and buried wild yeast. Flavour is much more apparent on the gin barrels, with plenty of botanicals and floral notes, accentuated by gentle cherries and a hint of wild yeast. I'm not a huge fan of gin barrels, and I'm not convinced they go well with the cherries. It's competent for sure but far from my favourite Floodland.
