Bottle shared in Hazlemere - cheers to Kenny. Vintage 2016 I believe. Pours clear, dark red-brown with a small, foamy tan head. Medium to big sweet flavour with a lot of hearty dark malts, toffee, dark fruits, decent roast, a bit of smoke, vanilla, toasted marshmallows, burnt sugars. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish, more smoke, dark fruits, a little chocolate, raisins, bready malts. Nicely layered, nicely aged. Damn good sauce.

Tasting at Chez Bois. Semi opaque dark brown beer, small bubbly tan head. Palate is light and semi dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Slightly thin but rich dark malts. Bitterish dark chocolate. Touch of oaky bitterness. Decent fruity dark chocolate on the back end. Good straight up Impy Porter. Very drinkable.

Tap at Cap Tap. Pours very dark brn/blk with a dark tan head. Aroma is dark treacly malt and chocolate. Full bodied. Flavor is very dark chocolate with burnt malt. It’s in the medicinal flavor category. :) Not dry, but not sweet. Burnt malt bitter. Lots of earthy chocolate. Heat is barely noticeably for me. Great stuff.

Poured from 650mL bottle (2016 - No. 001). Black with tan head. Vanilla, bourbon, chocolate, light roast malt, and a hint of soy sauce and smoke. Almost a syrupy texture, alcohol mostly hidden.
