26/7/2024. From BIAB at The Globe, Harwich. Pours deep golden with a small bubbly white head. Aroma is caramel, apple, baked, lightly spiced. Quite sweet with light tartness. Moderate body, oily watery, low carbonation. Not their worst.

500ml bottle from Beer Central, Sheffield. Golden colour, afew short-lived bubbles on top and aroma of apple. Taste is sweet, apple, some core, sugary, and drying, tangy. Medium bodied, low carbonation, medium sweet finish. OK.

500ml bottle from Sandy Balls Holiday Village farm shop. Drunk on Christmas week. Pours a clear deep caramel. Aroma of caramelised fruit. Expected things to take a cinnamon / gingerbread direction but seems to remain within a caramelised toffee mould. Artificial sweetness, aged notes. Not great.

BIAB at Old Fire House, Exeter. Pours slight unclear gold with no cap. Sweet-ish apple, apple flesh, apple skins, some tannins. Medium body with low/no carbonation. Good to see that Lilley's don't just sent out gimmicky fruity shite. This was alright.

Baginabox at the Chiltern Taps, High Wycombe. Deep gold, no fizz. Sweet from the off but not sticky or syrupy. Was expecting some ghastly, sickly sweet seasonal thing with cloying overdone spices, but there's none of that nonsense. In fact, there's actually a bit of bite, and some tannic apple skins; to my surprise it actually tastes something like a Proper Cider. Very much a dessert one, granted, but I actually rather enjoyed it as a post-Christmas dinner tipple. One of the better sweet ciders I've tried.
