Iceland was my last big trip back in February and I’m dying to travel again. Come on people. Stay inside, wear a mask and I can go to Uruguay.

Can from Bottle Shop: pours dark amber with light creamy beige head. Aroma is lightly smoked, with some spruce notes. Sweet, malty, lightly spicy. Better than expected.

Bottle drunk in the middle of summer. Medium brown, small short lived head, nose of brown sugar and Christmastime spices. It's rather sweet like a soft molasses sugar cookie, I notice the piney goodness of the spruce. Don't really get much smoke but it could be hidden by the roasted malt and dark caramel notes. Pretty good even this time of year.

Recht trockener, alkoholisch röstiger Beginn. Wenig Kakao, geringe Herbe, süffig. Etwas monoton, ok. 10/8/8/8/9/8

Bottle. Slightly unclear amber body under a dense beige head. Aroma has malt, toffee, dry fruit, candy sugar and some alcohol. Taste is quite smooth and a bit unusually, malt, mild whisky, toffee, candy sugar, dry fruit, balanced bitterness and warming alcohol. Fine body with rather long lasting aftertaste. Smooth, interesting, complex and actually very food friendly. Nice and unusually.
