Kumlefjorden Juleølsmaking 2022. Pale amber color with a beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, bread, caramel. Flavor is roasted malt, bread, spices, candis sugar, yeast, smoked ham, toffee. Weird beer.

Kicsi, gyorsan elillanó hab, vöröses barna szín. Édeskés, karamelles, fűszeres illat. Édes, fűszeres, füstös, karamelles ízek, gyantás, kissé olajos aromákkal, némi aszalt gyümölcsös beütéssel. Közepesen testes, közepesen szénsavas, erősen keserű. Furcsa íze van, nem igazán tudom hová tenni. Először kellemes, de néhány korty után már sok.

Bottle. A mostly clear light brown beer topped by a dense two-finger beige head. The aroma is bready and toffee-ish, with a touch of spiced, fruity Belgo-yeast touch. It’s sort of velvety sticky sweet on the palate, nicely carbonated, with a soft bitterness. The flavor is pretty similar, with some faint notes of something I didn’t recognize as smoke until I had a look at the label. Some warmth in the rather fruity finish. Not very good this one. 221126

Das Bier steht steht schon etwas länger zu Hause, aber jetzt ist es kalt genug (draußen) um es gut verkosten zu können. Es ist ein schön fruchtiges Bukett und die angepriesenen Fichtenwipfel geben dem schweren Bock viele harzige, leicht beerige und holzige Noten. Dabei bleibt es schön süffig und ist nicht zu brutal.

Can. Muddy dark brown pour with a beige head that has decent retention. The aroma is mild with roasted grains, caramel and wet earth. Flavors are caramel, plums, raisins, pecans and bitter walnuts. The palate is full and viscous. Finishes long and dry. Overall: Decent ale. Will buy again.

12 oz. can from HEB in Boerne, TX. Pours a clear dark mahogany color with a large beige head and great retention. Fair lacing. Faint caramel/molasses aroma. The flavor is molasses, burnt sugar and medicinal alcohol. Not working for me. Medium-heavy body. Average carbonation. Slick mouthfeel. The 8.0% ABV is strong and overpowering in the flavor, but not harsh. Doesn't taste like the listed ingredients. I like Einstock beers, but not this one.

Bottle. deep ruby red with a hint chill haze, low offwhite head. Honeyish sweet aroma, berries, resin, caramel roast. Medium full body, salt caramel base, strawberries, melanoidin, peat, pine/resin notes, flowery finish.

pours amber brown with a small dense head. It smells of smoky, caramel malt. The flavor is quite sweet with mild but apparent smoke and lots of caramel. Pretty good.
