Rated at Higgins Ale Works. Smooth and slightly roasty with some dark chocolate notes, cocoa beans, hints of oatmeal and malts. Not very heavy, but pairs well with the chocolate

Tap at Higgins. Super roasty nose on black beer with medium head. Light sweetness, full body, great well rounded flavor. I don't get a lot of cacao flavor but there's a background hint which is excellent blending. Mild bitterness.

Tap at Higgins with Jonas and Ursula. Blackish body, tan head, thick, relatively small. Some cocoa and black malt in the aroma, dry, okay, very lean. Lean, creamy, soft, chocolatey taste, dry, bitterish, good balance overall, drier than expected though, subtle, bit herbal. Tap at Higgins. Dark. Nose is chalky chocolate dry, roasted hazelnut, cream, praline. Smooth, creamy, dark. Very drinkable.
