500ml bottle from Appalachian. Tasty Bev pint glass @home. Gold, bit of haze, bubbly. Smells of fermenting mulch, old frying oil & barn-y French cider. Taste is old, oxidized, bittersweet apples & satisfying hard English water that binds it all. Super tannic, mineral-y, taught, moderately acidic, pear-like stone-y apples. Mild sulfites, mild headache. Varnished, old vat finish. Thin, low perceived abv, more acidic than I realized. Carbonation is just right. The apples really seem slightly rotty, but the process seems to make an above average beverage. Average apples, Good slurping.

Bottle at home, from local CoOp, 04/10/20. Almost clear golden with a moderate white cap that soon dissipates. Nose is earthy apple, smoked pork, straw, light funk. Taste comprises tangy apple, orchard wood, vinous, farmy twang. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close. Decent.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. This one is 6.9%. Appearance - golden yellow with frantic bubbles. An edge of gusher going on. Nose - farmyard initially. Brown apple. Taste - wild yeast and funk plus apple skins. Palate - medium bodied and tangy with a tangy almost sour finish. Overall - there's a wild yeast thing in here that seems to have taken over the apple side of things.
