Draught at Skaal, Sønderborg. Surprisingly refreshing aroma. A little brown sugar, sort of vanilla touch. Clear dark brown colour with a red shine. Small off-white head. The flavour is very sweet. Herbal and pungent. Perfumy finish. Woody bitterness. Wood dust. Boonekamp finish and bitterness. Not bad, but strange.

Draught @ SKAAL Sønderborg. Pours nearly clear dark brown with airy beige head. Clear aroma of malt amd caramel, with estery and sugary touches and hints of hops. Bitter, roasty flavour with sweet notes of lactose, malt, and chocolate, and touches of yeast and liquorice. Bitter, roasty aftertaste with malty touches and hints of dried fruit. Warming alcohol presence. Good work, Amager!

18 December 2020. Christmas Beer Evening with the lovely Anke! Bottle from Deconinck. Clear amber with a thin, tan head. Aroma of clove, liquorice, aniseed, cinnamon, cookie, cold Glühwein, caramel, raisin. Taste has sweet raisin & caramel, hinting a bit at Coca-Cola, spices galore in the middle with cinnamon, clove, cookie flavouring & herbal liquorice. Finish is herbal hoppy, spicy, a bit 'minty' almost, with warming herbal liqueur alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Strong spiced Quad but quite easy to drink.

Smell- weak to medium, caramel, malt, acidic and more caramel and malt, sweet. Foam- thin, caramel, acidic, sweet and alcohol. Head is small, dirty white, brownish color. Appearance- brewer bottle cap, bottle label is nice, but no bonuses from me. Clear ruby, orange color. No carbonation. From - snifter Taste - very sweet with a bit of acidic tones bunch of caramel and topped with malt. Plenty of alcohol, but also plenty of sweetness, I like it, it does have that weird tard-sour-thingy immediate taste to it, not sure what it is but it disturbs me a bit.

Bottle, 0.50l. Aroma of caramel, dried fruit, dandelion syrup, candy sugar, pine and faint solvent. Pours cloudy ruby brown color with thin quickly diminishing tan-light head, lots of tiny floating particles and sparkling appearance. Taste starts with sweet caramel and honey, follows by fruity esters, toasted malt, mouthfeel is warm, while finish is mild bitter. Full body, sticky texture and average carbonation in palate. Secret Satan...

500ml bottle from Taps Beer Bar Changkat, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a slightly hazy reddish amber with a short-lived frothy off white head. The aroma is toffee caramel malt, light red berry fruits, light alcohol, woody hop. The flavour is moderate sweet with a smooth, rich, sticky toffee, jammy marmalade, warm alcohol, light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Nice, but there isn’t much that’s Christmassy about this. Just a super sweet boozy amber ale.

mahogany colour, minimal creamy beige-ish head; aroma of unripe plum, green apple, caramel, biscuit and maybe some anise, too; taste of syrupy sweetness with slight burt sugar, plum jam and candied dried apricot; unbalancedly sweet; I don’t really like it...and obviously expected much more...

50 cl bottle, batch no 1420. Poured in to a Trappist glass. Poured a lovely amber red colour with a thin, white head. Sweet aroma with rich caramel malts, spruce, ripe, sweet fruits, marzipan and oaked notes. Taste is heavy sweet. Full body with a soft carbonation and an oily texture. Finishes sweet with spruce and rich malts. Far too sweet, far too much spruce, far too rich for my likings. Amager is without any doubt one of the best Danish breweries. This is way off for me, had to pour rest of the bottle in the sink. Please stick to the hoppy stuff, guys!
