First Viewing is yet another entry into our sour logbook, with a whopping half tonne of plum and redcurrant added to create one of those daft and silly sour beers that are fully Polly’s without wandering into gimmicky adjuncts. Expect a juicy sweetness backed up with a spritzy puckering sourness in this all out banger of a beer.

Murky pink with a bubbly pink-tinged white head. Stewed plums and rhubarb on the nose, sharp and zesty with tart fruit and a dry finish

1/3 pint, draught at Mother Kelly's N17. Shared with Finn. Pinkish head over a clear amber-reddish body, rings of lace down the glass. Moderate smell of plums and ripe berries. Mixed taste profile of redcurrants and some lime. Mid-tart ending. Quite alright. (Tottenham Hale,, London 15.03.2024).

Delt med Rune. Kirsebærrød. Kritthvitt filmskum. Bringebæraroma. Smaken syrlige bringebær. Uvariert - men greit.

Keg draught at the Real Ale Classroom (City Centre), Leicester. Pinky Purple and clear with a slightly pinkish white head. Light Ribena aroma, perhaps a touch of mint. Tart but certainly not full-on sour, definitely getting the pomegranate here but not so much plum. The finish seems to augment the sourness, which is nice. Light body, medium carbonation. Not the most exciting sour but certainly agreeable and well-made.

Pålitelige notater fra Mi2 feb-24: helt klar kobbergylden med fint skum som varer. Røde bær, lime, plommer. Mild bitterhet, behagelig sursyrlig følelse - en deilig sommerøl med mersmak. Fra fat.

Sample on tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Red colour, small pink-ish head. Aroma and flavour of red plums and redcurrants, moderate lactic acid. Fairly refreshing.
