33cl can from japppp, thanks! A black beer with a beige lacing. Aroma of vanilla, sweet dark malt, chocolate. Taste of sweet dark chocolate malt, vanilla, some liquorice.

2/6/2020. Sample courtesy of the SHIG, cheers! Pours very dark brown with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma of vanilla, chocolate, nut, light roasted malt and caramel. Medium sweetness and light to moderate bitterness. Medium body, slick texture, soft carbonation. Quite enjoyable.

Can: Poured a pitch black with a light brown head. Aroma is huge vanilla, chocolate, rich malts. Taste is vanilla bean, super smooth, chocolate, rich malts, milky.

Black beer, head soon fizzles out. Loads of vanilla in the flavour. Tastes of vanilla, chocolate, malt, a little coffee and it's very rich and smooth. Lovely.

[33cl can from Beer52 as “Papa’s Vanilla Stout “] A glossy black pour with an immediately dissipating chocolate coloured head; aroma of chocolate syrup and vanilla; sweet vanilla taste with a smooth chocolatey body; and a sweet finish. Not for me.

Can from Beer52. Vanilla ice cream aroma, although the dark berries and coffee do cut through. Dark and glossy. Thin foamy tan head. Light sweet. As per the aromabitterness with a sour edge then cuts through. The bitterness is pretty heavy at the very end. Medium bodied. Creamy. Average carbonation. Relatively abrupt finish with some dryness and astringency. Enjoyable.

330ml can (as PAPA'S Vanilla Stout). Jet black body, decent tanned head. Vanilla and dark chocolate aromas and tastes, fairly sweet; very drinkable for me and my sweet tooth.

Creamy tan head stayed on a black still body. Malt, demerara & roasted aroma. Medium bodied, slightly tingly on the fore with a creamy silk back & cloying aft. Dark chocolate, brown sugar, berries, malt & vanilla tastes.

On tap at Pynnikin, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of vanilla upfront, followed by light toasted malt. Flavour is pure vanilla, with medium sweetness. Very syrupy and sweet vanilla character without much depth. Not a lot to this - just pure vanilla sweetness.
