Super hazy golden and peach coloured body with a straw-coloured glow and a bit of a flat yellow tint when held to a light, along with a two to three centimetre tall pure white head that coats the beer nicely. Aroma of soured, tart and funky foeders with a light dash of apples and citrus fruits, showing some dry oak and light yeast elements with a dash of wheat and coriander seed freshness, but this really is all about the soured and tart scents that show up strongly at first. Light-bodied; Strong very funky oak, tart cherry and soured grain flavour that dominates with the foeders and strong yeast elements coming through by far the strongest with a light dash of dry grain, some grass and a tiny bit of flowers and tea notes (think chamomile) at the end. Aftertaste shows the very dry and incredibly complex barrel and woodsy flavours at first, with some of the light grain and malt elements noticeable and a dash of the soured fruit and tart elements that come from a combination of the yeast, barrel aging and time with the foeders, it seems, at least. Overall, a very nice and complex beer that shows almost all sides that you'd want from a beer, with the dry, crisp and herbal notes the most surprising, but the sour and tart elements the most expected. A very good beer and one that should be sampled by everyone, not just those who prefer Sours or Wild Ales. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Hy-Vee in Papillion (Omaha), Nebraska on 07-October-2019 for US$5,49 sampled at home in Washington on 03-March-2020 - Super Tuesday in which I voted in the Primary Election for President in my home state of Virginia.

Can from Holiday Market. Pours a mostly clear gold with a full finger of white rocky foam that lingers. Tropical fruit forward nose with pineapple, passionfruit and papaya standing out. A touch of pear and muscat underneath with creamy oak. Balanced tartness on the palate, more oak and tropical fruit. Lingering fruit, pepper and light piney bitterness on the finish. Great stuff.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 8/8/2019. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy medium golden yellow color with a 2 finger fairly foamy and fluffy white head fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big sour/tart/tangy lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, mango, melon, apricot, passion fruit, red/green apple, gooseberry, white grape/wine, oak, peppercorn, pine, hay, straw, herbal, floral, grass, wheat, cracker, and white bread; with light notes of leathery/musty/lacto funk, white wine vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/funky/acidic/spicy yeast, citrus/tropical hops, pears, oak barrels, and pale/wheat malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big sour/tart/tangy lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, mango, melon, apricot, passion fruit, red/green apple, gooseberry, white grape/wine, oak, peppercorn, pine, hay, straw, herbal, floral, grass, wheat, cracker, and white bread; with light notes of leathery/musty/lacto funk, white wine vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Light-moderate peppery yeast/oak tannin spiciness; fruity/lactic tartness; and light pine, herbal, floral, woody, grassy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, mango, melon, apricot, passion fruit, red/green apple, gooseberry, white grape/wine, oak, peppercorn, pine, hay, straw, herbal, floral, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread, light leathery/musty/lacto funk/vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic/spicy yeast, citrus/tropical hops, pears, oak barrels, and pale/wheat malt flavors; with an awesome malt/tart/tangy/spiciness balance; with no puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering tart/tangy/spiciness and carbonation. Medium-plus carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/acidic/tangy/tannic, and lightly sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 5.8%. Overall this is a fantastic fruited sour/wild saison. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic/spicy yeast, citrus/tropical hops, pears, oak barrels, and pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth and fairly crisp/clean/refreshing to drink with the modestly acidic/spicy/tannic/drying finish; not overly lactic. Fantastic balance of Brett/Bacteria/Saison yeast, Citra hops, and pear juice complexity; with great oak presence, and pale/wheat malts against acidity. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and outstanding spot on style example as expected. Not overwhelming on any aspect.

Can: Poured a bright yellow color ale with a white foamy head with limited retention and not much lacing. Aroma of light tart notes with some juicy citrusy floral undertones and light fruity notes is quite pleasant. Taste is a mix of multiple flavors including light tart notes with some juicy hops notes and a dry citrusy finish with fruity ester. Body is about average with good carbonation. Enjoyable hoppy sour but not sure the pear juice plays a big role at the end of the day.
