0,44 litre can, courtesy of Bergstaden, at home. Dark brown with some beige head. Malts, hops, yeast, barrel, malty, bourbon, caramel, sweetness, smooth.

Aroma starts with a slight whisky tone, which is followed by honey. I am quite sensitive to honey aroma and thought it was to much, but it probably wasn't. Color is deep red, and not amber. Clear. Head disappears after two minutes. Moutfeel is quite thick, sweet, almost oily, and leaves a coating effect in the mouth. Slightly drying aftertaste. Not a lot of hops that get through here. Quite sweet. When warmed up, it tend to feel a lot thinner. To my palate, the honey if the mead dominates the other aromas.
Batch #400, BF:2.2.26. Probably a one-off batch.

Håndverkeren 301123. Dark brown color with a tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, bourbon, caramel. Flavor is roasted malt, bourbon, caramel. Flavor is roasted malt, bourbon, caramel, honey, alcohol, dried fruit. Very nice beer.

Pre-Christmas speed ticking with Gunnfryd @ Håndverkeren. Clear amber body under a moderate sized tan head. Aroma of dark malt, dry fruit, honey and alcohol. Taste is sweet, dark malt, sweet honey, dry fruit, chocolate, and alcohol. Full bodied. Aftertaste is sweet as well with the same flavors but also more pronounced bourbon flavors. Nice for some sips, but ends too sweet for me.

Amber with off white head - Dark malt aroma with some dark fruityiness and wood barrel - Dark malt body with some dark ffruity tones and a good barrel flavour - Dark malt flavours along with good barrel flavours goes into the finish - This was real good

Poured from a can at Hogna Bar, Bryggerifestivalen 2023. Kindly shared by bergstaden. Clear mahogany coloured body, clingy lacing from an off-white head. Attractive smell of honeyed caramel, not overly sweet. Powerful taste character of caramel, almond, dried fruits, and oak. Lingering tail, with a distant bourbon touch. Warming. Great sipper qualities, tolerably sweet. (Trondheim, 03.08.2023).

Fra fat hos arrangøren av Gretne Gamle Gubbers Øldag (men ikke på selve dagen): mørk kastanjebrun med utmerket skum helt ned. Mørke karameller, lys sjokolade, hint av havrekjeks, urter og kakao. Deilig bitterhet og saftig munnfølelse. Lang ettersmak. Et toppsolid og fokusert eksempel på hvor godt det kan gjøres.
