This collaboration with Lochlea Distillery celebrates not only ours but their 5th Birthday this month too as well as the inception of our future journey together. Earlier this year we brewed our first double mash stout using 12 kinds of malts including Caramalt, Chocolate Malt, Chocolate Wheat, Chocolate Rye, Carabohemian, you get the point. The rich chocolate caramel base was then matured in Lochlea's special selection of barrels allowing them to create their first core product 'Our Barley'. This barrel combination included the perfect recipe of ex-bourbon, ex-Oloroso sherry casks as well as shaved, toasted and re-charred barriques

# 4746; 9/2025. Coffee with milk, vanilla, light liquorice, caramel, sweet impression of aroma. Opaque dark brown body; tany head. Coffee with milk, liquorice, cherry, caramel, smooth, viscous, alcohol dangerously hidden. Full body; soft carbonation. Excellent imperial stout. 0,33 l, can, craft-beer shop (Drink Station), Budapest.

Creamy lightbrown good mostly lasting head. Black colour. Heavy malty and modetrate hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter slighty peeted flavor. Long heavy bitter nice finish. Creamy palate.

Überraschend schwach süßer Malzantrunk. Moderat getreidig, wenig röstig, geringe Komplexität. Wenig würzig, keine Holznoten, kurzer Abgang. Hm.. 12/9/10/8/8/8

440 ml can. Pours black with short tan head. Aromas of black coffee and roasted malts. Flavors follow same with additional dry vanilla and subtle dark sugars. Clean. No hint if the ABV. Very good.

440ml can. Pitch black with a thin tan head. Aroma of whisky, sherry, oak, chocolate, liquorice, coffee. Taste is very rich, loads of barrels - oak, sherry, whisky, chocolate, coffee, dark fruits, liquorice, boozy finish. Very smooth.

13/12/2023. Can shared by Colin, cheers. Pours black with a small tan coloured head. Aroma is dark chocolate, dark malts, dried fruits, toffee, fruit cake, light roasted coffee, added touch from the sherry cask. Moderate sweetness and bitterness. Quite full body, nice and smooth, soft carbonation. Nice roasted bitterness develops to finish. Well done.

Third of a pint in Good Libations, Southampton on 29th November 2023. Tanned head on a black body, moody looking brew really. Malty front with dark chocolate and caramel to the fore, subtle spirit and barrel oak flavours seep into the taste as you sip this relaxing beer, wish I'd had longer the sip, but we were on a mission and had to move on.
