Bottle. Opaque orange color with white head. Aroma is vineously sweet, wood, peachy, lychee a bit too. Taste is lychee, but not too much, not too dry either, but nice and fresh. Oily mouthfeel, a tad watery, low carbonation.

Bottle. Color: Lightly hazy golden, fast diminishing white hed. Aroma: Earthy, fruity, funky. Taste: Earthy, fruity notes of lychee and ripe and unripe grape, subtle oak wood notes and rural funk. Medium body, below average carbonation. Not that complex. Ok overall.

750mL bottle at the International Geuze & Kriek festival. Pours hazy blonde with a white head. Musty old wood and litchi berries on the nose. Flavour has dry old wood, leather, gentle but present litchi. Very nice.

750mL bottle at International Geuze & Kriek Festival 2025, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma has soft berries, some gentle spirit, and soft leathery funk. Flavour is soft, with plenty of wine, lychee, and leathery funk. Soft on the palate, with a floral, berry character on the finish. Excellent.

75cl bottle pour @ Poperinge Bier Festival 2024. Pours gold with a very fine mist, a white ring of foam circling the glass. Aroma has an indistinct sweetness that could be attributed to the barolo barrel influence. First sip brings a fresh zippy acidity, mild fruity element that could be the lychee, additional floral shades, suggestions of white grape and guava.. not massively impactful on the wild front, quite a settled blend, but wild enough. Ok.

Fast gone white rim, well-carbonated orangey golden beer. Perfumey, even bit chemical aroma, quite sharp. Litchi only identifyed because it says so on the label. The same perfumey-chemical flavour returning in the mouth. Not really convincing. Bit farmyard, saddlesoap. Acidburn and -thinning, sharp almost burning MF. Well carbonated. I found this one rather disappointing. Somehow the litchi does not marry well with the lambic. Txs to Stef!

1/VIII/24 - 75cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker), shared @ Ardennes Holiday, bottled: II/2024, BB: +5Y (2024-654)
Pretty clear blond yellow beer, small irregular off-white head, unstable, dissipates quickly. Aroma: nice, fruity, a bit funky, lychee is noticeable, lemonade, woody notes. MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: nice, very fruity, good acidity, juicy, lemony, lemon juice, clean acidity, nice! Aftertaste: very fruity, pretty bitter, tannins, earthy, juicy, more lemon, nice one!

Pours slightly unclear blonde. Head colapses within seconds. Scent is fruity, sharp, citrussy. Taste is sharp, very high carbo. Dry ( astrigent) very mineral. Not all to familiar with lichee, but this one doesn't make me think it'll be for me. Tad earthy.
