I have brewed this strong ale to commemorate the outbreak of WWI. I have chosen twelve different hops from all over the world to represent some of the nations which were involved in the conflict. These include: Marynka hops from Poland, Tettnang and Perle from Germany, Golding and Fuggles from England, Aramis from France, Styrian Goldings from Solvenia, Saaz hops from the Czech Republic, Liberty from the US, Pride of Ringwood Australia, Kohatu and Green Bullet Hops from New Zealand. All blend together harmoniously to a smooth hoppy aroma on a full body of Cara and Munich malt. A real League of Nations in a bottle!

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Clear amber colour, light tan foamy head and aroma of malt, fruitcake, toffee. Taste is sweet, malty, fruitcake, toffee, caramel, bready, grainy, with some earthy nutty bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying tangy bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

Sample thanks to Grumbo, shared with Jeremy at his place. Pours a deep brown, large off-white head. Aroma is malty, fruitcake, some toffee. Continues to taste, with some leathery malt notes emerging, nicely flavoursome. Not bad at all.

10th April 2024, mega tasting with minutemat, shared Panda from Grumbo. Red hue to the brown body, decent off-white head. Nice 'boozy' brew with malty front, even if he has used 12 different hop varieties. Liked it.
