Bottle in Miami. Clear amber color, medium-sized white head. Cardboard, sweet alcohol aroma in the nose. Medium-bodied, rich palate. Punch of alcohol, herbal bitterness, pine with long aftertaste. Grassy and grainy. This is quite heavy on booze.

Bottle. A- Caramel, malty, hops. A- Amber color, hazy liquid, off white head. T- Caramel, bready, bitter, cigar smoke. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, bitter finsh. O- Not as bitter or nasty as most previous reviews seem to point towards. Yes, it’s bitter, but I think I must have had a bottle with some age on it because a lot of caramel and malty backbone came through. Not bad, but I don’t want another.

This IPA poured a medium, cloudy Amber colour with a big, beautiful cream coloured head. Scents include cream, spice, grass and hay. First swig was a kick in the face with hops. Way too much so. Bitter finish and way too over-hopped.

12oz bottle pours a murky orange with lots of frothy, sudsy white head. Nose has dried orange peel, some kumquat, a little tea, a little bit of garbage. Smells incredibly artificial. Flavor is worse, overly bitter, plastic, kumquat, unripened orange. Sort of has that unripened chardonnay grape thing. Chunky, soapy, astringent finish.

12 ounce bottle from Secret Santa, opened 7/31/14. Pours a hazy orange color with a thin creamy off-white head. Decent head retention. Looks a little viscous. Aroma of pale malt, clay, mild citrus hops. The taste is tropical fruits, citrus, pale malt. Medium bodied. I won’t say off balance just… oddly balanced. Strange beer.

Golden in the glass. The beer is sweet. Very sweet and nicely hopped. Nice floral, but way too sweet. The aftertaste is sticky sweet and floral. --> Way too sweet in the body! --> 9/8/9/8

bottle. One of the best Imperial IPA’s I’ve had. Intense hops, well masked alcohol and big citrus - all incredibly balanced. Bummed I only had one. This is a phenomenal beer!

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks beerandbeyond. Clear deep golden. Aroma of stale hops and lots of malt, a bit cookie-ish. Sweet malty caramelly flavor, a bit cookie-ish, with a bitter and slightly alcoholic finish. Medium-bodied, a bit heavy. Seems old.

Smell of yeast, caramel. Amber colour, yellow-ish head. Aroma of alcohol, cognac, oak, mint. Finishes with apple, cough mixture, some nuts. Very little like IPA overall. Very oily texture, fizzy carbon. Sweet due to alcohol level, slightly sour, medium bitter.
