Our reimagining of the traditional farmhouse beers that were made by workers on farms all over Northern Europe in the downtime in the farming calendar. We have used five organic whole grains as our starting point and three additions of organic whole leaf hops. Primary fermentation was with a traditional kveik strain and followed by a long conditioning period in tank.

330ml can from brewery - cloudy orange body, not much head. Sweet grainy nose, bready yeast, flavour cuts through nicely with the citrus and a bit of herby grassiness. Not pretty, but very easy going.

Can direct from Futtle. It pours hazy golden - blonde with a thick, foamy white head. The aroma is doughy white bread, hay, touch of farmyard, zingy lemon, lemon curd, gooseberry, white grape, melon and funk. The taste is crispy, firm dryness, snappy, pithy, zesty, clean, lemon - lime, touch of funk, barnyard, straw, hay, peppery spice, dry oak, hit of tannin, touch of gooseberry, white grape and a splash of white wine with a firmly dry finish. Light body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Crispy and moreish. Quenching. Nice subtle depth to it. Very moreish.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from Cork & Cask. Pours clear gold with a frothy, white head. Lightly sweet with husky and grainy pale malts, mild bitter straw, lemon rind. Light bodied with massaging carbonation. Finishes with further pale grains, mild bready notes, more lightly bitter citrus rind, straw. Basic but pretty drinkable.

Can from Cork and Cask. Pours just-clear golden with a thick white head. Steady to high carbonation keeps it there. Aromas of lemon barley water. Taste has a bit of biscuit and more lemon. Simple but decent.
