750 ml bottle. Pours a clear yellow/gold with a persistent light head. Aromas of lemons and yeast. Sour and tart. Flavors of green apples, lemons, and coriander. Very distinctive.

0.75l bottle #835. Pours a light hazy straw yellow body with a nice big and lasting fluffy white head. Wheaty aroma with strong citrus totes. Also some near herbal touches here, and a nice twitch of orange and tropical fruits. Quite nice. Oh, yeah, we are now in Jolly pumpkin-land when it comes to the taste. Light and subtle sour-ish flavors, lots of wheaty lemon and it ends mildly mouth-drying. A bit watery perhaps, but quite light drinkable. A wit with a nice sour turn. 03.03.2012

Hazy pale gold beer. Dry crisp palate. Slightly sour with a little lemon and orange citrus. Very dry crisp finish. Seems quite sour for a Witbier but not as bad as a proper sour.

750 mL bottle. Pours pale yellow with a medium, white head. The aroma is lemons, wheat, and seltzer water. The flavor is citrus sweetness, and very tart. The palate is light to medium, very bubbly and crisp. Overall, this is a pretty good witbier, but nothing special.

Picked this up at Hill Farmstead in Vermont. This is batch 835 bottled on 7-7-2011. Poured into an Ommegang glass both at room temp.

A - Poured a single crystal clear head with nice creamy bubbles. Very pale almost wheat looking beer. Cloudy Pale ale look but with loads of yellow and white and clouds.

S - Sour Lambic smell. Orange peel is HUGE in this beer. It’s still nicely balanced with the sour and some floral scent.

T - Tart & sour is the primary thing. Lemon, Orange, Wheat and Belgian Yeast.

M - Huge carbonation 90% on a single swish. Sour and tart linger.

O - Great beer. Almost perfect but it’s just too dry for my taste.

Big bottle, batch 835, bought at Vinmonopolet Vika. Unclear, grey-golden body colour, firm white head, spotty lace. Hay, wheat and coriander to the nose. Dry, tart and sweet elements in the taste profile. Dry citrus shells. Lingering dry, bitter fruity ending. Medium bodied. Refreshing witbier. Should be very nice on a hot summer’s day (hotel room, Oslo 05.01.2012).

(Bottle) Pale golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, slightly acidic nose with notes of yeast, lemon peel, peaches, grass, jasmine and a touch of barnyard. Fruity taste with lemon, grass, hints of yeast, coriander, dry white wine and slightly funky hints of barnyard. A dry, refreshing tartness in the finish. Medium body, dry. More character than in most witbiers, with influences from both lambic and bière de garde. Nice and tasty with lots of character.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a weizen glass. Pours cloudy light orange with large yellow hightlights with two inch white head. Medium/heavy lacing, lively carbonation, and medium/light body. Taste is tart citrus, some funky yeast, and a hint of coriander. Really acid for a belgian white. I prefer St. Bernarudus.

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy yellow with a white head. Aroma of citrus, yeast, and champagne. Flavour is extremely citrusy and somewhat sour, due to the barrels, clove and yeast - highly carbonated and medium complexity. Quite decent.
