Bottle from Sainsburys in Watford. Poured a clear light amber with a medium white head. Aroma of grassy hop, caramel and boiled sweets. Flat malt on the initial flavour with some brown sugar and spruce. Finish was really astringent bitterness with copper and wet grass.

Bottle at home London with Lyoli. Pours clear, bright gold, highly effervescent with a moderate, foamy white head. The aroma has a lot of bready malts, some ripe citrus fruits. Medium sweet flavor with moderate citrus rind bitterness. Plenty of jammy orange, some grapefruit, mild alcohol. Medium bodied with average, lightly creamy carbonation. Lightly warming finish with further bready malts, touches of toffee, more ripened orange. Interesting. A cross between English strong ale and IPA. Yeah, interesting.

bottle at home ... copper ... huge bubbly off white head ... soft peppery zezty juicy hop nose ... soft fruits ... big juicy orange ... massive zezty fruits ... big orange and juicy pine peach and pineapple... really nice ...light soft malt but just so juicy and light sweet hops

50cl bottle from the Sainsbury’s Beer Hunt 2013 range.. Brilliant amber with a foamy white head; toffee aroma with a touch of honey; orange marmalade taste, with a rather jammy body; then a pleasant bitterness and a light fruity finish. Very drinkable.

Bottle from Sainsburys, Bicester, consumed at home Wednesday 25th September 2013 Pours light amber clear as a bell, slim white head. The nose is a little light toffee with some thin light sherry. There is a nice warmth in the mouth, that continues for some time. It isn’t as full flavoured as you might think but there is a little toffee again, tangy fruit, with a bitterness and dryness at the end. Good but not great. A6 A5 T6 P3 Ov12 3.2

50cl bottle from the Sainsbury’s Beer Hunt 2013 range. Clear amber lasting beige head. Malty and hoppy. Wow that’s quite interesting. Toasty aroma and plenty of hops without doubt. Plain potato crisps. Then plenty of pacific gem hops on the end. It’s just quite fresh on the hoppage. Wow. Hops are really good and a good sweetness from the malt. Surprising and lovely. (I was quite drunk when I rated this, will buy another bottle and give a hopefully better rating tomorrow)
