Sample (thanks fonefan!). Black colour, small off-white head. Aroma is chocolate syrup, some mild roasted tones with some vanilla and coffee tones. Flavour is roasted, vanillaish, some coffee, mild rum and some chocolate syrupy tones with some mild alcohol sweetness too.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of nice barrel-aged bourbon with some floral coffee notes with some light vanilla and nice black chocolate malt notes. Taste is also dominated by bourbon barrel-aged notes with some floral coffee and vanilla notes with some rich black chocolate notes with some residual sugar notes. Body is above average with a nice creamy texture and good carbonation with some faint apparent alcohol. Solid barrel-aged stout with somewhat of a pastry feel.

Dark brown, no head. Quite nutty, a bit drier than the others, more alcohol and roast coming through. Burly -different from the others but I like it.

Poured from 473mL can @ Weathered 2023. Near black with small beige head. Earthy coffee, mild vanilla, hint of cola. Prefer Hale variant overall.

Bottle at Weathered 2022, Vancouver
Dark brown, almost black colour. The aroma is dominated by coffee, nothing else. Full bodied, moderately sweet, malts, burnt sugar, dark chocolate, coffee, and quite some spirit. A bit unbalanced for me, but bold.

Can at Weathered 2022, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out a more earthy coffee compared to the Hale, with gentle bourbon and vanilla in the background. Flavour is full dark roasted coffee, dark fruits, vanilla, and bourbon barrels. Lots of coffee and bourbon in wonderful cohesion. Lovely stuff
