330 ml can, from Coop Mega Madla Handelslag. ABV is 4.7%. Colour somewhere between mahogany and ebony, large beige head. Aroma of roast malts, coffee and piney hops. Smooth and fairly dry flavour, roast malts and coffee again, well balanced with citric and piney hops. Medium bitter and roasty aftertaste.

33cl can from Gulating, Kristiansand. Pours close to black with a slightly tanned head. Toasty and happy with notes of citrus, licorice, pine and dark fruits. Moderate to medium sweet with medium flavour intensity and ditto bitterness. Tasty and enjoyable.

Can @ home. Nut brown body under a huge, creamy beige head. Aroma has roasted malt, pine and hint of coffee. Taste is medium sweet, smooth but distinct roasted malt, toast, hint of coffee and toffee, piny hops, some citric fruits and decent bitterness. Balanced body with pleasant aftertaste. A well-made black IPA with impressive taste for this low ABV.

Can. A clear reddish dark brown to black beer with a dense beige head of moderate size. Some lacing. The aroma is roasted and lightly burnt, with a touch of licorice and piney hops. It's medium to full bodied, nicely carbonated and with a good bitterness. Roasted malts, piney hops and some licorice and grapefruit zest in the flavor. Lasting piney and roasted, almost burnt finish. 240608

Can. The colour is dark brown to black with a creamy light beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, grapefruit, coffee, nuts, rye bread and some smoke. Flavour of roasted malt, tobacco, nuts, coffee, grass and grapefruit. Has a light and slick mouthfeel, light body and light to medium bitterness. Pretty malty, roasted with fruity tones.
