16.03.2013, tap @ Cardinal:

On tap @ Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours light golden, with a finger thick head. Aroma is sweet and herbal, with good notes of elderberry. Medium body, with a quite lively carbonation. Flavour is sweet, with flowers, herbs and honey, and finishes with an ever so slight herbal bitterness.

On tap at Cardinal. It pours a lightly hazy, golden body under a dense, two-finger off-white head leaving nice lacings. Almost clementine like nose, with a subtle, but sure present, herbal scent. Maltyness too. Full-bodied and smooth, maybe a bit hard on carbonation, but pleasant. Nice malty sweetness in the flavor, along with a nice herbal, bitter touch. Superbly balanced. Some clementine in the end. A really pleasant and easy drinkable beer I’d happily have more of. 120626

On tap at Jærdagen, and at Cardinal Pub & Bar. This is basically a saison brewed with local herbs (elderflowers, birch leaves, yarrow and ground elder / goutweed), but also with hops. Slightly hazy deep golden colour, moderate white head. Very nice herbal aroma, notes of elderflowers and citrussy hops. The flavour is fresh, herbal and citrussy, easy drinking. A little more bitterness wouldn’t hurt, but this is a quite enjoyable summer ale as it is.
