Reviewed from notes.
The appearance had a slightly hazy golden orange perhaps close to yellow and almost transparent body with a two finger white foamy head that dies fairly quickly perhaps closer to a minute and leaving a fairly nice spectacular lacing.
The smell had a somewhat malty and fairly bitter hoppy showing a decent bitter aromatic presence.
The taste had a balanced sort of bittersweetness that is absolutely totally spectacular, sweet sort of malty aftertaste and no finish.
On the palate, it sat at/about a fairly light, and somewhat sesssionable, carbonation is very smooth (holy crap, very smooth, good for Double Take).
Overall, this is one of their better brews.

Bottle, 12oz. An amber colored beer topped by a decent, off-white head. The aroma is a bit malty for my likings, at least considering it’s and APA. Some citrusy scents too, maybe a touch of grass and tropical fruits. In the mouth too it’s too malty, and way too chewy for an APA, I’d also like more bitterness going on. Still, it’s a quite nice beer, not just within my definition of a pale ale. Full body, with a pleasant level of carbonation. A beer I won’t miss, but won’t have any problems drinking more of either. 130630

12 oz bottle from mixed box at Safeway in Davis, CA. Pours clear copper with a slight white head. Light aromas of roast malt and citrus/floral. Med body. Flavor is roast malt with some citrus/floral hop. It fits the style. The flavors are fairly strong. Ten years ago this would have been a show stopper. Today it’s average "craft". But that’s not bad.

12 oz bottle from Safeway Salinas. Nose is caramel, light citrus, and a little grassy note. Clear amber with a medium off white head. Flavor is very light bitterness and caramel. Drinkable if nothing better is around.

Bottle. Pours clear orange amber, small white head that dissipates quickly with some lacing. Aroma is citrus, pine resin, caramel, something like a solvent. Flavor is about the same, light sweet, very light bitter. Medium body, slightly weird aftertaste but otherwise not too bad.

Crisp copper coloured body with a thin white head, a bit of movement at the bottom and the sides. Aroma of light earthy hops, some light malt and a hint of cardboard. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong light hoppy flavour with a nice english or german hoppiness, a good light malt backbone and a little sweetness. Aftertaste shows some very nice light hops, no bitterness and especially no alcohol bite or funky flavours. Overall, a surprisingly good beer, and even more surprising is that it comes from Rochester! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle given to me after hockey by a teammate, purchased at Safeway in Arlington, Virginia sampled in January 2013.
