Bottle at Cardinal. Black colour with a tan head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, roasted malt. Flavour is coffee, chocolate, roasted malt, licorice. Medium body. OK beer.

Fra flaske på Cardinal, M2 sesongåpning: fint men kort skum. Middels munnfylde gjør den lett å drikke men setter ikke fotspor etter seg. God smak av røstet malt (men et snev av sigarettsneiper er ukledelig). Kort slutt.

Dark brown, almost black. Small, pale brown head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, roasted barley and dark caramel. Similarly fine taste. Waterish mouthfeel and medium short aftertaste. Dark chocolate and dark and sour coffee in aftertaste

Bottle, at Cardinal. It pours an almost black body under and finger-thick light tan head. Some lacings occur. Chocolate, roasted malts, and notes of coffee and licorice in the aroma. There’s some hoppy bitterness in the flavor, but it’s mostly on the roasted side. Chocolate, coffee and a touch of licorice. Full to medium body with a soft carbonation level. Roasted finish. Another nice, clean and tasteful beer from Rein Drikke. Although not world class, gotta love this brewery. 140726

500 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Batch No. 25. ABV is 5.2%. Some sediment in the bottle. Black colour, moderate tan head. Aroma of roasted malts and cold coffee, some sourish and woody hints. Dry flavour, roasted malts and coffee again, woody notes, hints of smoke and ashes. Not too bad.
