Bottle, batch 56. Pours hazy golden with sediments, with a very big creamy head. Aroma is spicy hops, with sweet tropical notes of mango, apricots and citrusy notes, as well as malty notes of toffee. Medium body, with average to fizzy carbonation. Flavour is zesty hops, with citrus and grassy notes, as well as some malty notes of grain and toffee. Probably past its prime, even though the best before date is seven months away. Why on earth do the breweries set such ludicrous dates on their bottles?

Bottle. Courtesy of the brewery. A hazy, dark golden beer with micro-floaties and a nice off-white head. Tropical, peachy aroma with pine cones and resin overpowering the malts. It’s quite bitter on the palate, full to medium bodied with a nice carbonation. Peach, mango, orange and mango in the flavor, leaving little room for the malts, but they are there in the far back. Lasting piney, citrus zest-ish finish. Tasteful, easy drinkable and quenching, would have loved to taste it straight from the bottling line. 160709

Kort ettersmak.

08.05.2016, 0,33l bottle @ home:
Big fizzy-bubbly longlasting head, dirty amber color. Aroma is sweet grassy, wet leafs, bark, strawberry jam, cardboard, paper, harsh hops, wet grass, minerals, weeds. Taste is dry mineraly, weeds, bark, paper, hay, harsh hops, wet grass, leafs, cardboard, pine needles, jam, minerals. Medium bitterness, mineraly and watery mouthfeel. Bad bottle...?

330 ml bottle, batch #56, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.5%. Hazy deep golden to brown colour, moderate white head. Strong aroma of piney and grapefruity American hops. Light bodied. Very dry and crisp flavour, plenty of piney hops, fairly bitter and very dry finish.

330 ml bottle. Hazy deep golden body with a big, creamy, long lasting off-white head. Strong and delicious aroma, lots off fruity hops, particular grapefruit and mild caramel malt. Flavor is fruity like aroma, lots of grapefruit, good bitterness and smooth malt with some caramel. Lively carbonation, fine balanced body and good balanced in general. Super refreshing and extremely moorish. One of the best Session IPA/APA I have ever tasted, even if I find the style itself a bit silly. This one really makes the best out of the hoppy session style, and it has a lot more to it than just a wonderful aroma.
