500 ml bottle. Rating based on the 2016 edition with blue label. This seems to be a different version to the 2015 edition or at least an improved version compared with the other ratings that all from 2015 so far and pretty low score. But I have not tasted the 2015 version so I can’t really now this for sure. Anyway, a hazy golden to orange body with a medium sized off-white head that’s rather slowly fades to nothing. Aroma is mild fruity with a hint of oranges, spicy yeast and honey. Mild but delicate aroma. Flavor is quite mild as well but more distinct fruity, smooth pale malt, moderate fruity bitterness and spicy yeast. Medium body and aftertaste. Smooth with some fruity freshness, no sharp edges, no off flavors. Not a particular exiting one, but as a mild refreshing thirst quencher for a lazy summer day it certainly do the job. Something between a golden ale and a Saison.

Bottle 500ml @ Geokkjer
Pours slightly hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma has notes of malt, grain and wort. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long grainy and wort finish. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.

Bottle. A hazy golden colored beer topped by a minimal sized white head. Just a thin rim actually. The aroma is heavy on caramel and bread, with roasted nuts and a touch of wort. Nice fruityness in the back though. It’s medium bodied, dry and nicely carbonated, with a decent bitterness. Bready, nutty malts and a generic fruityness. Some corn too. Long fruity, grainy finish. Not much good going on here. 151124

Kveldens første flaske, sesongåpning på Mi2, Cardinal aug-15: uklar gylden med kort skum. Aroma og smak av malt, løvetann, litt gress og umaltet hvete. Tysk humle? Lett å drikke men også lett å glemme. Hadde sikkert gjort et mer flatterende inntrykk en varm sommerkveld i den sørlandske skjærgård.

500 ml bottle, batch 06 16, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%. Golden colour, slightly hazy. Moderate to low white head. Aroma of malts and pale wort, hints of honey, wood and stale jam. The flavour is neither too sweet nor too dry, again hints of honey and wood, with moderate bittering hops in the finish.
