Can @ Håndverkeren. Clear deep brown body under a small, beige head. Aroma is medium strong dark malt with distinct smoke, light caramel and fruity yeast. Flavor is relatively mild for such a distinct smoked beer, pretty smooth actually, sweet without being sticky, fruity kveik, juniper and moderate bitterness. OK body and long lasting aftertaste that ends up a bit sweet after a while. Tasty, smooth, quite interesting and relatively easy drinkable (unless you're a sissy with smoked malt) but ends up a but sweet. Probably nice together with cured meat etc.

Can, at Håndverkeren. It's a brown beer with a small beige head. Smoked malts, roasted notes, coffee hints, some dried fruits and a touch of peat in the aroma. It's full bodied, lightly warming and nIcely carbonated, with some bitterness. Roasted malts, peat, smoke, some coffee and a vague hint of damp forest in the flavor. Lasting finish. A nice one indeed, or perhaps more interesting than nice. Sure drinkable. 180126

Shared can at Mi2 at Cardinal 10.12.18. Clear dark copper. Foamy and persistent beige head and lacing. Aroma and taste of burnt rubber and burnt circuit boards from old Tandberg radios. Bitterness, ash and fireplace is lingering on.

330 ml can, batch #10, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.5%. Very dark colour, nearly black. Moderate beige head. Aroma of smoked malts (stjørdalsmalt), hints of tar and old rope. Also hints of juniper. The flavour is medium dry, with distinct smoke from the stjørdalsmalt, but not too extreme. A slight fruitiness from the kveik (Norwegian farmhouse yeast) helps the drinkability a lot. Again notes of juniper. A good choice to accompany smoked "pinnekjøtt" or smoked "fenalår". I am not the world's biggest fan of smoked beers, but I could easily drink more of this one.

Medium to longlasting bitterness, harsh sour-ish mineraly mouthfeel. Meh!

Deep dark stuff with a fine tan head. Ok lacing. Pleasant smoked aroma. Mellow fine carbonation level. Quite easy to drink. Even for a beer with a high smoked level like this one. Balanced up fine in the flavor with some toffee and mild coffee.
