Haandbryggeriet Sure Thing! 7% Hazelnut, coffee and coconut stout Deep black with a tan head of foam and a sharp coffee with mild sweet hazelnut notes. Medium bodied and smooth with loads of bitter black coffee flavor, no noticeable coconut though the hazelnut is there in a nutty sweetness in the finish. A solid coffee beer that isn’t as sweet as I expected.

Can. Dark amber, almost black body under a stable, big, creamy tan head leaving lacings at the glass. Aroma is mild roasted dark malt, chocolate and nut cream. Taste is sweet, smooth dark malt, chocolate, caramel, nuts, coconut and mild coffee. Fine body and same aftertaste. Nice tasting pastry stout, not much going on besides the basic flavors but it’s a fine mix for the one with a sweet tooth.

So smooth and elegant.

Can. Close to black in the glass, topped by a dense, finger-thick light tan head leaving lacing. The aroma has biscuits, coffee and cocoa, with a light burnt touch. It's quite dry on the palate, full-bodied, faintly warming and nicely carbonated. As in the aroma, coffee, cocoa and biscuits run the show, with brown sugar, a hint of ash and a faint nutty touch. Lasting dry finish with lightly burnt malts, coffee, cocoa and biscuits. Quite delicious this one. 200619

Sample from can at HaandBryggeriet tasting, Cardinal Pub & Bar. ABV is 7%. Black colour, creamy tan head. Pleasant aroma and flavour of roast malts, dark chocolate and coffee. I tend to prefer stouts where the roast malts alone deliver the coffee flavour, but here the coffee addition is moderate and well balanced. A very good stout!

From bottle at Mi2 at Cardinal 22.06.20. Ebony. Dense and persistent brown head and lacing. Fine aroma and taste of dark chocolate, coffee, brittle, hazelnuts and grapefruit bitterness. Good!
