From can in Kristiansand 23.03.21. Clear pale straw colour. Diminishing white head. Some aroma and taste of pilaner malt and continental taste. No off-tastes. Appropriately fuckin’ close to water.

500 ml can, from Coop Extra, Lyngdal. ABV is 4.7%. I drank it ice cold as recommended. Clear pale golden colour, moderate white head. Weak aroma of malts and maize. \"Clean\" flavour (no off-flavours), fortunately not too sweet, moderate malts, maize and actually some hops, a hint of citrus. At least it tastes better than Corona and Sol. Easy drinking summer lager.

Can. A crystal clear pale golden beer with a small white head. The aroma has some pale malts and a faint touch of canned corn, citrus zest and some grass, but mostly it's a bunch of nothing. It's medium bodied and decently carbonated, slightly sweetish on the palate, yet with an industrial pale lager sourish twist. The flavor too has a grassy, lightly citrusy hop touch, very weak though, with malty sweetness in the back. Some canned corn-like flavors too. Sweet, canned fruit coctail-ish finish. Sure, a decent one, but drink it while it's really cold. But I guess the advise to RB users would be to shy away. It's just another pale lager, only a tad sweet. 200529

A few sips sampled from a bad friends can. Crystal clear golden body with a medium sized white head. Aroma is mild pilsner malt, it actually smells more than less similar to a million other pale industrial lagers, nothing more nothing less. I was not really sure what to expect from taste, someone was talking about lime and reading from the label it’s supposed to be a Mexican inspired lager made of carefully selected malt, corn and hops! Seems like an oxymoron to me. At least its not as weak bodied and tasteless as suspected from a Mexican lager (if Sol and Corona is the definition of Mexican lager?) The biggest surprise here was that it tasted exactly the same as the regular CB pilsner – OK probably a tad weaker and lighter, it’s quite a long time since I had one of those but I really had my share back in the days. Lime? What the fu%#, never in a million years I will recognize any slightly hint of any kind of fruit in these one, it’s a pure regular macro lager of the most common type. Honestly I really don’t see the point of releasing a beer like this in 2010 (and even less the later years). Guess what, another friend of me was talking about how he missed the Sørlands Pilsen some days ago, well I suppose this is the reincarnation of that. Stay safe!
