(Thanks, Ed! "Ed5388") Bottle. A- Coffee, subtle floral notes, roasty, slighly bitter, dry cocoa. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Coffee, chocolate, roasty, slightly bitter, very subtle blueberry. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, complex finish. O- What an excellent damn beer this was. The cap was on so tight I broke my opener and thought this better be delicious. It was. Everything was perfectly balanced and a beautiful beer in every way. Hard to find anything wrong with this and I usually am a tough rater.

Bottle. Pours a very dark brown, medium creamy tan head that lasts. The aroma is strong roast, coffee bean, dark chocolate. Thick mouth, bitter roast, cream, sugary malt, lingering bitterness, very nice.

750ml bottle pours a murky black with some creamy, beige head. Nose is solid, the sweetened coffee character is very inviting, molasses, milk chocolate, malt, light nuttiness. Flavor is well balanced as well, coffee candies almost, brown sugar, molasses, a little licorice. Full bodied, lightly sweet finish. Enjoyed this very much.

Sampled @ Camping Ratebeers 2015. Opaque black color, average sized light brown head. Aroma is malts, chocolate, lightly vegetal, a hint of vanilla. Taste malts, slightly coffee, again a bit vegetal, lightly vanilla, slightly bitter. Decent body and carbonation. Not my kind of beer.

Bottle split at CBC Clerko from an IP trade with JTClockwork, 06/01/15. Light black with a decent tan covering that holds up well. Nose is earthy roast, lactic notes, dark fruit rinds, chocolate, coffee, dark red berry. Taste comprises more lactic strokes, brown sugar, light coffee, earthy, charr, dark fruit rinds. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, earthy cocoa and charr in the close. Ok, just ... Ok.

Tasting at Craft Clerkenwell. Thanks to Senior Bois. Opaque dark brown beer, good tan head. Palate is airy and semi dry. Mellow dark malts, trace of coffee. There is a dominant flavour on the back end which is burned milk and it’s pretty unpleasant. Finishes semi dry. Seems to be just me that doesn’t like this but that burned milk flavour is making me want to spit this out - bleeurgh!
