Well stored bottle @ home. Close to black body under a short living beige head. Strong and nice aroma of dark, roasted malt, dry fruit, wood and vinous alcohol in nice, not boozy way. Taste is smooth, dark, roasted malt, dry fruit, chocolate, espresso coffee, port, good bitterness and delicate, complex alcohol sting. Full bodied with very long lasting aftertaste. I’m always surprised when a beer at this alcohol strength manage to taste so nice and balanced, the alcohol part seems to just be one of the flavors with interesting complexity. Nice one.

Bottle. An unclear dark brown to black beer with a moderate sized beige head. Curtains. There's a good dash of alcohol on the nose, but not in a pushing way, more in a vinous way. Dried fruit, oxidation and oak hints, caramel sauce, some dark chocolate and coffee and a dash of roasted malts too. Booze soaked dried fruit. It's full-bodied, warming and quite carboated on the palate, sweet, but with a certain bitterness. Aroma of malts, molasses, brown sugar, oak and old sherry. Medium sweet flavour with the same elements as the aroma, also hints of mild spices. Warming mouthfeel. Excellent beer!
