660ml big brown bottle. Brewed by El Prat Del Llobregat. Clear gold, quite fizzy with some minor head retention. Caramel malt, some sweetness, floral to grassy hops. Light to medium body, semi-dry with a touch of sticky malt on the palate. Mid to high carbonation. Despite having a touch more flavour than San Miguel I prefer the latter as it has more of a refreshing quality. Its standard lager at the end of the day so drinkability trumps all in my view.

A clear dull gold coloured pour with a lively rocky white head. Aroma is malty, light corn, damp straw, metallic. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, dull sweet grains, straw, maltiness and corn. Palate is semi sweet, bit lifeless, fine carbonation. Refreshing, design for Spanish summer.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from the local M&S. pours clear honey-gold with a small, fading foamy white head. Light sweet flavour with simple biscuity pale malts, straw, white bread. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Faint bitter hay in the finish, light dry pale biscuits, cereal flakes. Basic, drinkable.

660ml bottle. 4.5%. Different brewer (see Mr Pinkโ€™s rate). Pale gold. Head has a poor showing. Bit of dirty pot water here. Pale thin malt. Some grassy notes. Taste is dry overall with a nasty artificial feeling sweetness. Thin and dry overall and not in particularly great nick. Thin weird soapy finish. Why are M&S putting their name to this shite?

Has a nice looking bottle design. Itโ€™s a pale, almost straw coloured ale with no head. Itโ€™s lager aroma is below average, itโ€™s taste just a little better than this with a sweetness.
