Can at home. Good pour but maybe too cold. A certain unappealing sharpness. Not my thing.....

Can from Waitrose, Bagshot. Aroma has rye, a hint of resin and malts. Clear brown. Thin foam off-white translucent head. Medium bitter. Rye and resin bitterness, with the former also providing sweet notes. Having said resin, it's between that and quinine. Citrus. Underlying veg soup. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Workmanlike Red IPA with trad twiggy elements. OK.

Amber-brown with a thin off-white head and an obvious fizz. Can from Waitrose, High Wycombe. Malty, some tropical notes. Toasted caramel and a hint of red berries. Moderate dry bitterness in the finish. Rather thin, and definitely too fizzy. It's not bad, but rather malt-led for the style. In a blind taste I'd probably have guessed it was a supermarket bitter. OK but disappointing.

Cask @ Fox & Hounds, Lyndhurst. Pours a clear chestnut amber, off-white head. Aroma of dried dark fruits, amber malt. Flavour profile delivers much of the same with a nicely rich autumnal malt character.
