From tap at Mout fest Arnhem 2018. Aroma is bittering hops with a curious herbal sensation that reminds of plastic. Bit grassy and mild fruity. Flavour is light sweet and medium bitter. Body is medium. Rough with an unpleasant herbal plastic touch. These guys can do much better.

5/X/22 - on tap @ DOK Brewing Company (Gent), BB: n/a (2022-1350)
Clear orange blond beer, small creamy white head, unstable, a bit adhesive. Aroma: malty, grains, yeasty, a little smoky, a bit floral. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: soapy, floral, pretty bitter, some lavender, dry. Aftertaste: more floral, soapy bitterness, yeasty touch, hoppy bitter finish.

Session IPA brewed with buckwheat, sampled at Dok Brewing Festival. Egg-white, medium thick, moussy, slowly opening head, clear and pure yellow golden robe. Aroma of wet cereals and wet white paper, straw, dried apple peel, multi-grain crackers, buckwheat flour indeed, dried bitter garden weeds (dandelion). Clean onset, green banana and some unripe pear, medium carbonation, slick body; cereally core with a grainy sourishness underneath indeed attributable to the buckwheat, slightly bready with hoppy notes of withering grass, straw and white pepper, ending with a somewhat astringent bitterness. This beer has little to do with what happened with IPA in general since the late seventies – this is more akin to a Belgian blonde, albeit a dry and hop bitter one; the buckwheat does shine through in a sourish-grainy way, but the whole feels a tad ‘empty’ and unbalanced. I am still waiting for the first Butcher’s Tears beer to truly impress me.

11 April 2022. At Volkshotel, Amsterdam. Cheers to the Teamleader crew!
Clear golden, small, foamy, white head. Aroma of pineapple, lychee, lime zest, citrus flesh, bread. Taste has sweetish pineapple & lychee; flowery & zesty notes around, softly bread-malty. Foral hoppy finish with perfumey citrus, slightly bitter. Medium body, slick texture, average carbonation. Very pleasant at this ABV.

Can 33cl de et partagée avec Vincent, merci. From Butcher's Tears Webshop.
Canned 24/07/2020, BB 12/2021.

Can. Canned 24/7/2020, 5% according to the label. Color: .Bit hazy golden, white head. Aroma: Malty, hoppy, citrus notes. Taste: Malty and hoppy at the same time. Notes of bread, grassy hop, some citrus fruit, mostly fruity bitter orangepeel, hints of mango. Moderate sweet, over moderate bitter. Bitter, quite dry finish. Definitely not an IPA like most IPA's nowadays. Less citrus, more grassy. More like an old school English IPA. Whatever... my kind of IPA. Easy drinkable but also with a nice complexity, balance and bitterness. Quite some flavoirs to explore in this beer.

Can at OCCII. Quite fruity, citrus, light mineral, grass, light bready and some melon. Under medium sweet and medium bitter. Almost medium bodied with full carbonation. Nice.
